Mikey McParlane

Mikey McParlane is a multimedia performance artist and counter-tenor singer whose aggressively erotic body display and ecstatic pleasureworlds invoke simultaneous visions of apocalypse and utopia. Mikey has performed and exhibited at Anthology Film Archives(NYC), NADA Art Fair (Miami, FL), MIX New York Queer Experimental Film Festival, MUU Galleria (Helsinki, Finland), Supermarket Independent Art Fair (Stockholm, Sweden), The Arts Club of Chicago, Los Angeles Art Book Fair at MOCA, VIA Music and New Media Festival (Pittsburgh, PA), and Defibrillator Gallery (Chicago, IL). Mikey received an MFA in Film, Video, New Media & Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Bachelor of Humanities and Arts in Fine Art and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently lives in Chicago, IL.
