Stephanie Ross
Stephanie Ross is a performance artist based in Pittsburgh, receiving her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013. In her work she transforms into creatures of mixed and imagined species, genders, and sexualities. She seeks out alternative means of intimacy with her audiences through animalistic conversation, long-lasting rituals, and wrestling, among other means.
She has recently shown work at the Center for Sex and Culture (San Francisco), Abrons Art Center, and the Andy Warhol Museum. She is the only practicing faux-queen in Pittsburgh, performing at clubs including Webster Hall (NYC), The Box (NYC), and the late 6119 (PGH).
