Anna Nelson

Anna Nelson was raised on whole grain bread and the belief that she could
be anything she wanted when she grew up. Thus empowered, she chose to be an
artist. She is from the United States and therefore has perfect teeth and a
sense of alienation from the rest of the world that she is trying to
overcome. Her work attempts to locate identity in embodied and disembodied
technologies, to explore the artist’s own white, middle-class roots, and to
propose alternative visions of the future. Anna also writes poetry.
Currently residing in Pittsburgh, PA where she studies fine arts and
creative writing at Carnegie Mellon University.
